As blossoms explode

The poems and prose of Edinburgh-born Jim C Wilson have been published and broadcast widely for over twenty-five years. He has been Writer in Residence for Stirling District and was a Royal Literary Fund Fellow from 2001 until 2007. He has run Poetry in Practice workshops at Edinburgh University since 1994 and is a member of Edinburgh's Shore Poets. He lives in Gullane, East Lothian.

Jim C. Wilson has written 'As Blossom Explode', a poem suggested by the words of 'Seville', a lirical prose piece of writing I wrote.

As Blossom Explode

Seville is split open;
it fills with the flow of spring.
The heat give signs of force,
will soon reveal its true character.
A guitar strums; all want to clap,
and the girl dances, laughs
and play the castanets.

Verde que te quiero verde:
green, I want you green.
